Big Brother Naija ex-housemate and professional makeup artist Tacha Akide has proudly displayed her Guinness World Record commemorative plaque, cementing her status as the fastest makeup artist in the world.
Tacha broke records with 82 makeovers in 8 hours and 143 makeovers in 24 hours. Sharing photos on Instagram, she revealed the achievement came after “10 years of building, believing, and becoming.”
In an emotional tribute, Tacha dedicated the plaque to her late mother Stella, who passed away 12 years ago. “My mom taught me everything I know today. Deep down, I wouldn’t be anything like who I am today if it weren’t for her,” she wrote.
“Mummy, I miss you so much. I wish you were here to see this. But I know you’re watching me. Your daughter did it.”
Tacha’s Guinness World Record is more than a plaque; it’s a 10-year promise fulfilled, a daughter’s love letter to a mother watching from above, and proof that “the hardest part of moments like this is knowing I can’t hug you.”
