The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, is scheduled to visit Gwagwalada Area Council to thank stakeholders following the February 21 area council elections.
The visit is intended to show appreciation to residents and political stakeholders for their support during the polls.
According to a statement from Wike’s spokesman, Lere Olayinka, Kasim Mohammed Ikwa of the Peoples Democratic Party has been declared the Chairman-elect of Gwagwalada Area Council.
This is part of the minister’s ‘Thank you tour’ across the area councils of the capital city.
On Tuesday, Wike had visited Abaji and Kwali area councils.
