UNIJOS Students to Continue Exams April 13 — Management

David Egbede, April 3, 2026April 3, 2026

The University of Jos (UNIJOS) has announced the continuation of its first semester examinations from Monday, April 13, 2026, following the postponement of some papers due to security concerns in the state.

The decision was reached after a management meeting held on Friday, where the impact of recent threats to students’ safety—leading to an extension of the Easter holidays—was reviewed.

In a statement issued by the Deputy Registrar, Information and Public Relations, Emmanuel Madugu, the university said all examinations would resume on April 13, beginning with those earlier postponed from March 30.

“Students are advised to contact their Faculty Examinations Time Table Officer for further clarification,” the statement added.

The management also reassured students still on campus of their safety, noting that security measures have been significantly strengthened.

Students were urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the University Security Division.

“Normal university activities are expected to resume from Tuesday, April 7, 2026.”

The institution further emphasised that it is working closely with relevant security agencies to ensure peace and safety across the campus.
