The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested two candidates for certificate forgery during the ongoing police constable recruitment at the Police Training School, Bauchi.

Police Public Relations Officer, Nafiu Habib, on Friday, disclosed in a statement that the screening, led by A.Y. Dickson, involved 403 candidates—354 for general duty and 49 specialists.

During the exercise, two suspects, both named Yusuf Usman, were caught with fake National Examinations Council (NECO) results.

Habib noted that the suspects, who had been moving together throughout the screening, were handed over to the Divisional Police Officer of ‘E’ Division for further investigation.

He also cautioned applicants against engaging in fraudulent activities during recruitment. This exercise is part of the nationwide recruitment of 50,000 police constables, which began on Monday.
