Suspected terrorists have carried out another deadly assault on a military camp in Kemanji community, within Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, killing three soldiers.

The attack reportedly took place in the early hours of Monday, with heavy gunfire heard across the area. The armed assailants were said to have stormed the camp unexpectedly, engaging troops in a fierce exchange that resulted in casualties among the soldiers.

A local source, who requested anonymity, described the incident as sudden and violent, confirming that three soldiers lost their lives. He noted that Kemanji is a border community surrounded by dense forest, making it vulnerable to such incursions.

According to the source, some of the soldiers were asleep around 3 a.m. when the attackers struck, killing three before other troops responded and repelled the assault.
