Journalists and members of the public were prevented from accessing the courtroom on Tuesday as former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, appeared before the Federal High Court in Kaduna over alleged money laundering charges.

The restriction significantly limited media coverage of the proceedings, with no official explanation provided for the decision.

El-Rufai arrived at the court premises in a Hilux vehicle and was escorted inside by security operatives. In a video seen by reporters, he was dressed in a green babanriga paired with a black cap.

Despite the situation, the former governor appeared calm, smiling and waving at supporters gathered outside the courtroom.
Security presence was notably heightened around the court premises.
