Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State walked out of the Court of Appeal in Abuja on Monday while proceedings continued in the ongoing PDP leadership dispute.

Earlier in the session, the camp of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike secured a victory in the first appeal heard by the appellate court.

The Court of Appeal upheld the ruling of the Federal High Court that had halted the PDP National Convention, dismissing the appeal filed by the faction of the party led by Taminu Turaki.

In its ruling, the appellate court also awarded a cost of N2 million against the appellants, Turaki and others.

Party members as well as supporters from the various factions were present at the court.
