Twelve-year-old Anuoluwapo “Anu” Mitchelle Adeleke has appealed to Afrobeats superstar Davido to undergo a DNA test, saying she wants clarity about her paternity and the chance to establish her own identity.
In a post shared via social media, Anu said the unresolved claims surrounding her birth have had a direct impact on her daily life, particularly at school. “I was bullied. Other students laughed at me,” she wrote, emphasising the emotional toll of the paternity controversy.
Her mother, Ayo Labinjoh, echoed her concerns, stressing that their goal is to establish the truth and protect Anu’s rights. Labinjoh revealed that the family has made several attempts to resolve the issue privately but feels forced to go public due to the lack of cooperation.
The appeal adds a deeply personal dimension to a case that has captured national attention, raising questions about privacy, responsibility, and the impact of public disputes on children.
