The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), RS6.3 Akwa Ibom State Command, has appointed a new Sector Commander, Felicia Kalu.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday by the Command’s Public Enlightenment and Public Relations Officer, Paul James.
According to him, Kalu takes over from Francis Ajatta, who has been redeployed to the Rivers State Command. He explained that the appointment is part of efforts to improve efficiency and performance in road traffic management and safety.
James noted that Kalu holds a degree in Linguistics from Abia State University and a Master’s in Communication Science from the University of Bucharest.

He added that she previously served as Acting Corps Secretary, Corps Librarian, and Acting Corps Public Education Officer at the headquarters.
In her maiden address, Kalu pledged to build on the achievements of her predecessors and urged personnel to uphold discipline and professionalism.
“To ensure effective service delivery, she solicits the cooperation of motorists and other road users in the state to keep the roads free from crashes,” James said.
Ajatta, in his remarks, thanked officers for their support during his tenure and encouraged them to extend the same cooperation to his successor.
