The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced that candidates who participated in the opening day of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination will have access to their results before midnight on Friday.
In a statement issued by its Public Communication Adviser, Fabian Benjamin, the board said candidates who sat for the examination on Thursday, April 16, should expect their results once processing is concluded later in the day.
“This is to inform all candidates who sat for the 2026 UTME on Thursday that their results will be released today before midnight,” the statement said.
JAMB noted that a formal announcement would be made on its official platforms immediately the results are uploaded.
The nationwide examination, which began on April 16, is expected to accommodate over 2.2 million candidates across accredited Computer-Based Test centres, with the exercise scheduled to run until April 22.
The board explained that the examination is conducted in multiple sessions daily to reduce congestion and improve verification processes at centres.
Candidates have been advised to stay updated through JAMB’s official communication channels for confirmation and access to their results.
