A Benue-based social media influencer, Sunny Attah, also known as MOG, has been remanded at Kuje Correctional Centre following his arraignment at the Federal High Court in Abuja on charges including cyberstalking, defamation, and spreading malicious falsehoods against Benue House of Representatives member Philip Agbese.

Attah appeared in court on Monday facing a four-count charge alleging he published false and defamatory statements targeting the lawmaker.

The prosecution was led by Victor Okoye, Esq., alongside another lawyer from the Cybercrime Unit, while Deji Adeyanju and two other counsels represented Attah.

Attah’s lawyers requested bail, but the presiding judge, Justice Liman, adjourned the ruling to Tuesday and ordered that he remain in Kuje Correctional Centre pending the court’s decision.
