Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Department of State Services (DSS) have stormed the Abuja residence of former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.
The operation was said to have occurred on Tuesday at his Maitama residence in Abuja
Security operatives subsequently sealed off the residence, restricting both entry and exit as the raid commenced.
Eyewitnesses say party associates and supporters of the former AGF gathered at the scene in a show of solidarity, as the development drew widespread attention across political circles.
Sources indicate that operatives are currently conducting a detailed inventory of items within the property as part of ongoing investigations.
Reacting to the situation, Honourable Shehu Koko disclosed that the family of the former AGF is closely monitoring the process.
He added that Malami remains in good spirits and is ready to face any legal proceedings that may arise from the investigation.
The incident has heightened political tensions, with observers closely watching for further developments.
