Tinubu “Fully Engaged in Governance,” Lagos APC Responds to Obi

Happiness Udisifan, January 13, 2026January 13, 2026

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed claims that President Bola Tinubu is missing from public view.

The response follows comments attributed to Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, who questioned the president’s visibility in recent weeks.

In a statement signed by APC spokesman Mr Seye Oladejo, the party said the President “remains fully engaged in the business of governance, both within and outside the country.”

Oladejo urged political actors to focus on issues of substance rather than optics, emphasizing that governance involves both public and behind-the-scenes work.

The statement reinforces the party’s position that Tinubu is actively executing his duties, despite public speculation about his appearances.
