Sporting CP delivered one of the greatest comebacks in UEFA Champions League history after thrashing Bodø/Glimt 5-0 (after extra time) to seal a 5-3 aggregate victory and book a place in the quarter-finals.
The Portuguese side came into the second leg trailing 3-0 from the first meeting in Norway, but produced a stunning turnaround in Lisbon.

Gonçalo Inácio opened the scoring in the first half before Pedro Gonçalves and a Luis Suárez penalty leveled the tie on aggregate, forcing extra time.
Sporting then completed the comeback in dramatic fashion, with Maximiliano Araújo putting them ahead in extra time, while substitute Rafael Nel sealed the emphatic victory with a late fifth goal.
The result means Sporting CP become the first team to qualify for the Champions League quarter-finals this season, capping a remarkable night in Europe.
It is also a historic feat, as Sporting became one of the few teams in Champions League history to overturn a three-goal first-leg deficit.
Bodø/Glimt’s impressive European run comes to an end despite their dominant first-leg performance.
