Tinubu Names New DG/CEO for National Biosafety Management Agency

Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Fatima Suleiman Zuntu as the new Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the National Biosafety Management Agency (NBMA).

Her appointment is for an initial four-year term, effective April 16, 2026, in line with the provisions of Section 5 of the National Biosafety Management Agency Act, 2015.

Dr. Zuntu is a public health expert and policy strategist known for her strong record in delivering impactful national initiatives.

The President has charged her to apply her experience and expertise toward advancing the agency’s mandate for the benefit of the country.
