Blord Walks Free After 20 Days in Kuje Prison

David Egbede, April 21, 2026

Popular Nigerian cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, widely known as Blord, has been released from the Kuje Correctional Facility after fulfilling his bail conditions on Monday evening.

His release comes 20 days after he was remanded over allegations of impersonating VeryDarkMan. Although he had earlier been granted bail on Friday with a requirement to deposit his international passport, he was unable to meet the condition immediately as the document could not be delivered to Abuja from Anambra State in time, leading to his continued detention.

Confirming the development, human rights activist and politician Omoyele Sowore thanked the public for their support.

Sharing a video of the release on Instagram, he stated that Blord’s freedom highlights the power of collective action and emphasized that no one should be left in unjust detention.
