The Village Boys Movement (VBM) has announced plans to stage a two-million-man march across Nigeria in support of the African Democratic Congress
The VBM—formed by ADC supporters—is positioning itself as a counterforce to the City Boys Movement, an initiative linked to Seyi Tinubu aimed at promoting President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.
In a statement released on Friday, the group’s Headmaster, Maazi Tochukwu Ezeoke, disclosed that the march would be carried out in phases, with the first phase set for March 28, 2026.
The initial phase will take place in Abia, Adamawa, Anambra, Bayelsa, Ebonyi, Plateau, Jigawa, Kaduna, Ondo, Ogun, Oyo, Enugu, Kogi, and Edo states.
Phase two, he added, will “cover key states and regions, including Lagos, Abuja, Rivers, Delta, Kano, Imo, and others, with dates to be announced in due course.”
The group stressed that the push for “credible leadership in Nigeria is no longer negotiable,” noting that the “Nigerian people are mobilised, organised, and determined to take ownership of their democratic future.”
“At a time when various political parties and blocs, including the PDP, APC, Labour Party, and the Southern and Middle Belt Forum, are echoing the call for a Southern Presidency, the Village Boys Movement maintains that the ADC must stand firmly on the side of justice, equity, and national progress by taking the right decision at this critical moment,” the statement added.
