One week after commencing his second term, Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has sworn in his first batch of 14 key political appointees.
The swearing-in ceremony at the Executive Chamber of the Light House included top officials such as Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake; Chief of Staff (CoS), Dr. Ben Nwankwo; Chief of Protocol, Prof. Frank-Collins Okafor; and Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Mr. Christian Aburime. Other senior appointees included Principal Secretary to the Governor, Barrister Joachim Anetoh, and Head of Service, Mrs. Ngozi Iwouno.
The new commissioners and deputies include Commissioner for Finance, Uzochukwu Okafor; Attorney-General, Tobechukwu Nweke, SAN; Deputy Chief of Staff, Dr. Vincent Okechi; and Deputy State Chief of Protocol, Ms. Ngozi Okoye.
Also sworn in were special advisers: Dr. Godwin Nnadozie (Medical & Pharmaceuticals), Ms. Chinwe Okoli (Innovation & Business Incubation, CEO Solution Innovation District), Prof. Ebuka Nwankwo (Special Projects & Director, Project Evaluation and Monitoring), and Mr. Ken Emeakayi (Community Security).
After congratulating the appointees, Governor Soludo urged them to dedicate themselves fully to their duties and contribute meaningfully to the success of his “Solution Agenda.” He reminded them that they were called to serve the people of Anambra State.
” I didn’t appoint you to come and chop but to serve the people with dignity.
“This job is a 24/7 assignment. You are now part of the term Solution 2.0 of my administration.
“You are appointed to add value to the grow and development of the State.
“Let’s work as a term to actualised this administration’s vision of making Anambra a destination hub of Nigeria.
Soludo also appealed to the people of the state to pray for the new appointees to succeed in their various capabilities.
