Several Feared Trapped as Ugo West Hotel Building Collapses in Abuja

A hotel structure identified as Ugo West Hotel, still under construction, has collapsed in the Jikwoyi area of Abuja, leaving multiple people reportedly trapped beneath the debris.

The incident sparked panic as residents and passersby rushed to the scene, joining early rescue efforts to save those buried in the rubble. Eyewitnesses said the building suddenly caved in, trapping workers and others inside.

As of now, the number of casualties or injuries remains uncertain, while emergency responders are yet to arrive.

Local volunteers have begun clearing debris in a desperate attempt to rescue survivors.

Authorities have not issued an official statement on the cause of the collapse.
