The National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rauf Aregbesola, has strongly criticised the administration of Bola Tinubu, describing its “Renewed Hope Agenda” as deceptive and ineffective.
Speaking at the ADC National Convention in Abuja, the former Interior Minister urged the president to step down, citing worsening economic conditions and insecurity across the country.
He argued that the government has failed to deliver on key promises, pointing to the depreciation of the naira, rising fuel prices, and persistent power shortages.
Aregbesola also accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of undermining democratic values and mishandling the electoral system.
He warned that the country is drifting further into hardship, with increasing poverty levels and a growing number of out-of-school children.
Positioning the ADC as a credible alternative, he said the party is on a mission to “rescue” Nigeria from what he described as the ruling party’s grip, urging citizens to support the opposition and reject what he called continued misgovernance.
