David Egbede, March 7, 2026March 7, 2026

Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) club Katsina United has officially declared Uche Collins as Absent Without Official Leave (AWOL).

The announcement was made on Friday by Katsina United Chairman Surajo Umar Baba, who confirmed that Collins has been missing since the team’s match against Rangers on 22 February 2026 at Muhammadu Dikko Stadium.

Baba emphasized that Collins remains under contract with the Chanji Boys until the end of the 2026/2027 season and warned that any club attempting to sign him without the team’s consent would face legal action.

Collins has been a key player for Katsina United over the past two seasons and was named the club’s Player of the Season for the 2024/25 campaign.
