The Federal Government has launched the RenewHER “Save Our Mothers” campaign to strengthen maternal health advocacy and outcomes nationwide.
Speaking in Abuja, Adanna Steinacker, Senior Special Assistant to Bola Tinubu on Women’s Health, said the initiative aims to close critical gaps in awareness, trust, and use of maternal health services.
“Maternal deaths often occur at the point where services exist but women are unable to access or use them. That is where we must now concentrate our national efforts,” she said.
She explained that the campaign serves as the advocacy arm of the RenewHER platform and will operate through the Maternal and Neonatal Mortality Reduction Innovation Initiative in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health.
Steinacker also inaugurated ambassadors across the 36 states and the FCT to drive grassroots mobilisation.
“This is not symbolic; it is a delivery framework. This is the moment to move from goodwill to concrete partnerships,” she added.
Officials say the initiative is part of broader efforts by the administration to ensure no woman dies during childbirth.
