Former Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, has charged newly inaugurated members of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) to remain committed and actively mobilise support for the party as preparations for upcoming elections gather momentum.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the senator praised the turnout of new members, party leaders, and supporters, describing it as a strong signal of unity and determination.
He urged the inductees to view their membership as a call to duty, particularly in strengthening the party’s grassroots presence.
Dickson stressed the importance of local engagement, noting that “all politics is local,” and encouraged members to return to their various states and communities to promote the party’s ideals, expand its support base, and solidify its structures.
According to him, the NDC’s mission of rescuing Nigeria can only be realised through electoral victories at all levels, including state assemblies, the National Assembly, governorship seats, and the presidency.
The event wrapped up with appreciation to party leaders and organisers, as members reaffirmed their commitment to the NDC’s vision amid chants of solidarity and renewed hope.
