Members of the venue sub-committee for the 2026 national convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have held their inaugural meeting and inspected a proposed site for the party’s upcoming national gathering.
The meeting, which took place over the weekend, was presided over by the chairman of the sub-committee and Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun.
Abiodun emphasised the need for careful planning and coordination to ensure a successful and well-organised national convention for the ruling party.

Also present at the meeting were the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, who serves as vice chairman of the committee, and the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the South South Development Commission, Usoro Akpabio, who is the committee’s secretary.
The Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, John Owan Enoh, and other stakeholders were also in attendance.

Following deliberations, members of the committee conducted an on-the-spot inspection of the proposed venue to assess facilities and logistics required to host the party’s 2026 convention.
The inspection formed part of preparations aimed at ensuring the smooth organisation of the event, which is expected to bring together party leaders, delegates and members from across the country.
