David Egbede, April 11, 2026April 11, 2026

General Chris Eze (rtd), a former APC State Secretary and ex-Ambassador to India, has been elected Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Enugu State.

He emerged alongside other members of the State Working Committee during the party’s congress held on Saturday.

In his acceptance remarks, Eze promised an inclusive leadership style that would carry all stakeholders along, while ensuring a fair and level playing field for aspirants ahead of party primaries.

He also stated that the ADC is positioning itself to take over governance in Enugu State in 2027, with a focus on grassroots-driven leadership and improved democratic delivery.

The development comes amid reports of parallel or factional congresses within the state chapter of the party.
