Isa Mohammed Ashiru, the former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate in Kaduna State, is poised to officially join the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Making the announcement on his official X account on Saturday, Ashiru wrote:
“OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: I, Right Honourable Isa Mohammed Ashiru, will formally register with my new party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC), on Sunday, 5th April 2026 at 11:00 AM, Insha Allah.”
He disclosed that his registration will take place at Kudan Ward, Kudan Local Government Area, and shared his optimism about the transition, stating:
“I look forward to this significant step as we continue to work for the progress and development of our people.”
He officially submitted his resignation to the PDP Chairman of Kudan Ward on Friday, March 27, 2026, formally severing ties with the party.
