The mother and daughter at the centre of a high profile paternity dispute with Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, have hit back at the singer’s latest public claims. In Instagram posts shared late Thursday, 12-year-old Anuoluwapo Mitchelle and her mother, Ayo Labinjoh, accused Davido of bullying, issuing threats, and spreading false information.
The dispute erupted after Davido publicly denied being the girl’s father, claiming he had conducted five DNA tests that proved he was not related to the child. Mitchelle and Labinjoh, however, insist that only one test was ever carried out and that it was fraudulent.
“This has been emotionally draining for both of us,” Labinjoh wrote, emphasising that the repeated public statements and alleged intimidation by Davido’s team have caused unnecessary stress. The duo maintained that their aim is to seek the truth and ensure that the girl’s rights are protected.
The latest clash adds a new chapter to an already long-running and closely watched legal and social media battle, raising questions about accountability, privacy, and the responsibilities of public figures when family matters play out in the public eye.
