The Board of Trustees (BoT) and National Working Committee (NWC) of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), led by Nafiu Bala Gombe, have directed the David Mark-led NWC to stop using the party’s bank accounts, logo, and name for any purpose.

The Gombe-led faction specifically warned the INEC-recognized Mark-led NWC against issuing statements or making public comments in the party’s name.

The leadership of the Gombe faction added that any further unauthorized use of the party’s name or logo would prompt legal action.

In a statement signed by its National Chairman, Nafi’u Bala Gombe, and BoT Secretary, Rufus Ikanmi, the ADC faction said, “If Abdullahi wishes to become a member of the ADC, he should follow the appropriate procedure by registering at his political ward in Kwara State.”

The faction, which claims to be the original owners of the party, warned that “any further dealings, including lending, withdrawals, or transfers from the party’s accounts by such unauthorised persons, would be considered financial misconduct and economic sabotage.”

It vowed to take all necessary steps to protect its identity and interests, adding that it would not hesitate to pursue legal remedies if Abdullahi persists in the alleged actions.

It added, “The African Democratic Congress remains a party for all Nigerians, and membership is open to everyone through the established registration process.

“The Board of Trustees (BoT) and National Working Committee (NWC) of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has issued a formal notice to all Deposit Money Banks and other financial institutions in Nigeria.

“Instructing them to cease all transactions and activities related to party’s accounts with members of the coalition purporting to act on behalf of the ADC.

“Any further dealings, including lending, withdrawal, or transfer of funds from the party’s accounts, will be considered financial crimes and economic sabotage. Such actions will be prosecuted to the full extent of financial regulations and relevant criminal laws.”
