Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has presented brand-new vehicles to the 17 All Progressives Congress (APC) local government chairmen in the state.
The vehicles were handed over on Monday at the APC state secretariat in Damaturu, with Deputy Governor Idi Barde Gubana representing the governor at the event.
Buni encouraged the chairmen to make proper use of the vehicles and remain dedicated to promoting the party’s programmes and objectives within their respective local government areas.
Speaking at the event, deputy governor Gubana stressed the importance of party unity and reminded the chairmen to avoid actions that could divide members.
He said “the cars are meant to support their work and improve outreach at the grassroots level”.
State APC chairman Muhammad Gadaka thanked Governor Buni for the gift and called on the recipients to show dedication to the party in return.
Alongside the cars, the governor also donated Sallah clothes and wrappers to 37 members of the party’s state executive committee, while SSG Baba Malam Wali contributed ₦2 million to help cover fuel costs for the new vehicles.
