President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to protecting Nigeria’s democracy, stating that it will continue to thrive despite ongoing pressure and intimidation.
Speaking at the State House in Abuja while receiving a delegation from Enugu State led by Governor Peter Mbah, the President expressed confidence in the country’s democratic future.
Tinubu urged Nigerians to stay focused and ignore critics, stressing that his government remains committed to delivering prosperity, improving citizens’ welfare, and building a better future.
He also took a swipe at some opposition figures, accusing them of undermining democracy while claiming to support it, and referenced past policies like the privatization of the power sector as contributing to current electricity challenges.
According to him, Nigeria remains a key player in Africa’s growth story, with strong potential driven by contributions from stakeholders nationwide.
