The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has named Corps Commander Francis Ajatta as the new Sector Commander for Rivers State.
His appointment follows a recent redeployment of senior officers within the corps, with Ajatta taking over from Corps Commander Inyang Umoh, who has retired from service. He has since assumed duty in his new role.
Before his posting, Ajatta served as Sector Commander of the Akwa Ibom Command.
In a statement issued on Monday by Doris Ebor, Chief Route Commander and Sector Public Education Officer in Rivers State, Ajatta was described as “a seasoned officer with a strong track record in advancing road safety in Nigeria.” The statement also highlighted his experience across various assignments nationwide.
During his inaugural address, Ajatta outlined key priorities for the command, including improving FRSC visibility, intensifying public enlightenment campaigns, enhancing training for staff and drivers, ensuring prompt emergency response and clearance of road obstructions, and strengthening collaboration with stakeholders.
