David Egbede, March 6, 2026March 6, 2026

Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade, has voiced her disappointment following the postponement of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The biennial tournament, which was originally scheduled to kick off on March 17, was on Thursday rescheduled to July by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

CAF announced that the postponement was due to “some unforseen circumstances”.

Ajibade took to the social media to express her frustration.

“African women’s football deserves better,” Ajibade posted on X with an emoji of disappointment.

The Super Falcons played two friendlies against Cameroon last week.
