Transfer: Kaizer Chiefs Renew Interest in Super Eagles Goalkeeper Nwabali

David Egbede, March 3, 2026

South African giants Kaizer Chiefs have revived their interest in Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali.

Nwabali is currently seeking a new club after parting ways with fellow South African side Chippa United last month.

According to Afrik-Foot, Kaizer Chiefs are in the market for a goalkeeper following appendix surgery suffered by their first-choice shot-stopper, Brandon Petersen.

The Nigerian international had previously been linked with the Glamour Boys after his impressive performances at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire.

The 29-year-old is widely considered one of the top goalkeepers in South Africa’s premier division, having made 66 league appearances for Chippa United.
