Bola Tinubu has launched a new digital initiative, the Renewed Hope Enterprise Bridge Initiative, aimed at accelerating Nigeria’s ambition of building a trillion-dollar economy.
The platform was unveiled at the State House and is designed to strengthen engagement between policymakers and entrepreneurs, helping bridge long-standing gaps between government planning and business realities.
Represented by his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, the President said the initiative will create a structured channel for continuous dialogue between the public and private sectors.
“One side works with frameworks and projections, the other works with immediacy and risk. Bringing both into the same room is not symbolic; it is necessary,” he said.
He added that effective governance must be rooted in real-world experience.
“If a policy is to be useful, it must be informed by lived experience. And if an enterprise is to thrive, it must be supported by a system that understands it,” he added.
According to him, the platform will function as a feedback mechanism where entrepreneurs can directly share challenges and suggestions to improve policy formulation and execution.
Senior Special Assistant to the President on Entrepreneurship Development, Chalya Shagaya, said the initiative places entrepreneurs at the centre of economic growth.
“If we are to achieve a trillion-dollar economy, then entrepreneurs must be at the center of the conversation consistently, deliberately, and meaningfully,” she said.
She added that the programme is not a one-off event but a continuous engagement process aimed at improving collaboration between government and businesses.
Minister of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, also noted that the creative and digital sectors will play a key role in driving investment and economic expansion.
