Soludo Sworn in For Second Term in office

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has officially been sworn in for a second term in office.

The ceremony took place at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, attended by a wide array of dignitaries and guests from across the state and beyond.

Governor Soludo arrived at the venue at exactly 11:18 a.m., accompanied by notable figures including Vice President Kashim Shettima and former presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan.

The event was also attended by elder statesmen like former Secretary General of the Commonwealth, Chief Emeka Anyaoku and prominent traditional ruler, Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.

Soludo took the oath of allegiance at exactly 11:50 and proceeded to take the oath of office, which took about five minutes.

He was accompanied by his wife, Dr Mrs Nonye Soludo, who stood beside her husband as he took both oaths.

He quickly proceeded to sign the oaths in the presence of the Chief Judge of the state at 11:55 am amidst applause.

The event marks the beginning of his second term in office, which terminates in 2030.
