The Nigerian DJ Association (NDJ) has announced a temporary ban on all songs by Burna Boy across its members’ playlists following an alleged altercation involving DJ Tunez.

The incident reportedly occurred on Monday night at Obi’s House, a popular Afrobeats event in Lagos, where DJ Tunez was allegedly attacked by Burna Boy and his team. Reports claim the confrontation was triggered after the DJ played songs by Wizkid and did not include Burna Boy’s tracks in his set.

A viral video circulating online shows DJ Tunez being assaulted, sparking widespread reactions.

In response, the association stated: “Burna Boy Music is temporarily out of any of our DJs playlist till further notice.”
It added, “Our team will carry out a proper investigation on the incident that happened to one of our own, DJ Tunez.

“We urge the DJs in Nigeria as a whole to be vigilant and be respectful to any individual male or female artist in their various events.”
