Supporters of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) took to the streets of Abuja on Thursday, urging key opposition figures including Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and David Mark to steer clear of the party’s affairs.

The protest was spearheaded by ADC factional National Chairman, Nafiu Bala, who accused the leaders of attempting to take control of the party. He was joined by House of Representatives member Leke Abejide and a crowd of supporters carrying placards with messages like “Woe to Political Marauders” and “Hon. Nafiu Bala, We Stand With You.”

The demonstration is believed to be a counter-protest following an earlier rally by the David Mark faction at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
