Popular Nollywood actor, Zubby Michael, has declared his intention to run for a seat in the House of Representatives, representing Nnewi North, Nnewi South, and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency of Anambra State.
The actor made the announcement on Saturday after picking up his membership form and officially joining the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in his hometown, Ozubulu Ward 5, Ekwusigo LGA.
His entry into politics comes ahead of the 2027 general elections and at a time when several South-East celebrities are aligning with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to rally support for President Bola Tinubu.
Zubby’s move to the ADC, however, positions him differently and could influence the political landscape in Anambra State as the elections approach.
