The Bayelsa State Government has declared Friday, April 10, 2026, a work-free day ahead of the scheduled visit of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The announcement was made by the Commissioner for Information, Orientation and Strategy, Ebiuwou Koku-Obiyai, who also confirmed that markets across the state will remain closed.
According to the government, the directive is to allow residents and workers to fully participate in activities planned for the President’s one-day official visit.
During the visit, President Tinubu is expected to inaugurate four major projects executed by the state government.
Residents, including traders, have been urged to comply with the directive and turn out in large numbers to welcome the President.
