Bayero University, Kano (BUK), has expelled 60 students from different departments for their involvement in examination malpractice.

The decision was reached by the university’s Senate at its 43rd statutory meeting, following a review of reports and recommendations submitted by the appropriate academic and disciplinary committees.

The development was made public through an official announcement shared on the university’s verified Facebook page.

According to the statement, investigations found that the affected students engaged in various actions that contravened the university’s examination rules and regulations.

“After reviewing the cases, the Senate approved the expulsion of the students in accordance with the university’s examination regulations,” the statement said.

BUK reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining academic integrity and warned that it would continue to apply strict sanctions against any form of examination misconduct to deter future violations.
