Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has reacted to the viral ‘Falle Daya’ (one term) slogan, saying he plans to serve only one term under the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) before seeking a second term on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking in a video while addressing supporters, Yusuf said: “Actually, it is only one term in the NNPP party. We will do the second term in the APC.
“As for the ADC party that they have returned to, it will not even do one term, not ever.”
The governor recently defected to the APC amid a political rift with his former ally and political godfather, Rabiu Kwankwaso.
Announcing his move, Yusuf explained that the decision was taken “in the best interest of the people of Kano state”.
Before leaving the NNPP, he had cited “deepening internal crises” and “prolonged leadership disputes” within the party as reasons for his exit.
