Public affairs analyst, Mahmud Jega, has claimed that the ongoing crisis within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is not accidental but deliberately orchestrated.
Speaking during an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time on Friday, Jega cautioned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to exercise restraint and vigilance in handling the situation.
The ADC has been grappling with internal disputes, including the removal of former Senate President, David Mark, as the party’s national chairman.
Sharing his perspective, Jega said, “The crisis in the ADC is being engineered. And INEC has to be very careful.”
He further added, “The impression INEC is giving is that it is part of the scheme to destroy all opposition parties.”
According to him, “The opposition wanted the ADA; INEC sat on it for 2 years. Now they have moved to ADC, and they are coming up with something else.”
