Zamfara Chief of Staff, Moukhtar Lugga, Escapes Gunmen Ambush Unhurt

The Chief of Staff to the Zamfara State Government House, Moukhtar Lugga, narrowly escaped death on Thursday evening after gunmen attacked his vehicle along the Funtua–Gusau road.

The incident reportedly happened around 6:16 pm near Kucheri, where the attackers ambushed his vehicle and opened fire from different directions in what appeared to be a coordinated assault.

Despite the intensity of the attack, neither Lugga nor his driver sustained injuries. Sources revealed that the driver managed to navigate out of the scene safely.

A bullet hole was later discovered on the vehicle’s front windscreen, highlighting the severity of the attack.

As of the time of this report, security agencies have yet to release an official statement on the incident.
