Dutch forward Shane Kluivert has signed a new contract with FC Barcelona.
The 18-year-old has committed his future to the club until 2028, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Shane joined Barcelona in 2017 from Paris Saint-Germain, continuing a family connection, as his father, Patrick Kluivert, also played for the Catalan side during his career.
So far, Shane has mainly featured for Barcelona B, the club’s top reserve team, which competes in Spain’s fourth division.
The new agreement comes after lengthy talks between the Kluivert family and the club. With his development ongoing, Shane will be aiming for a promotion to Barcelona’s senior team in the near future.
