The APC Plateau State Forum in Abuja has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang for second terms ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The forum’s chairman, Hon. Yakubu Pam Gam Sakondong, announced the endorsement at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday.

He said the group was pleased with President Tinubu’s leadership, noting that the party has strengthened under his administration.

“We wish to sincerely appreciate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to strengthening the APC,” he said.

He added that the All Progressives Congress (APC) had witnessed improved inclusiveness and national appeal under the current leadership.

The forum also commended the party’s national chairman, Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, for reforms aimed at modernising the party.

“Since assuming office, Prof. Nentawe has introduced innovative reforms such as electronic registration of members and policies that promote youth, women and persons with disabilities inclusion,” he said.

He also commended the chairman’s reconciliation drive and open-door policy, noting that they had attracted new members to the party.

On the forthcoming national convention, the group praised the APC National Executive Committee for zoning the chairmanship to the North Central, specifically Plateau State, describing the move as fair and a recognition of the zone’s contributions.

The forum further applauded the party’s performance in the February 21, 2026 Area Council elections in the Federal Capital Territory, where the APC secured five of the six councils.

Sakondong credited the victory in part to the efforts of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, adding that the outcome reflects renewed confidence among residents in the party’s leadership.

He reaffirmed the forum’s stance, declaring its full endorsement of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Caleb Mutfwang for second terms in office.
