The Senate has confirmed the appointment of Taiwo Oyedele as a minister-designate in the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio announced the confirmation after lawmakers approved the nominee through a voice vote during the Committee of the Whole session.
RBN reports that Oyedele is expected to replace Doris Uzoka-Anite as the Minister of State for Finance.
A few days after his nomination, President Bola Tinubu forwarded Oyedele’s name to the Senate, requesting the lawmakers’ confirmation.
