Five School Children Reported killed in Iran Attack

David Egbede, February 28, 2026February 28, 2026

Five female pupils have reportedly been killed at an elementary school in Iran after missile strikes carried out by Israel and the United States, according to Iran’s state-run Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

Al Jazeera reports that the affected girls’ school is located in Minab, in Hormozgan Province, southern Iran.

In a retaliatory move, Iranian strikes reportedly damaged a nine-storey residential building in northern Israel, leaving one man with minor injuries.

According to Al Jazeera, Israel’s Channel 12 said the incoming missiles were intercepted, but falling debris struck the building and injured the man.

Air raid sirens continue to sound across Israel, with residents advised to take shelter. Schools, airports, and other public facilities have been closed.

Iran has also shut its airspace and ordered the closure of schools and public buildings nationwide.
