Morocco head coach Walid Regragui has reiterated his belief that the Atlas Lions can clinch the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title, despite facing stiff competition and ongoing criticism of his tactical decisions.
Speaking ahead of Morocco’s quarter-final clash with Cameroon, Regragui struck a composed yet confident note, stressing that belief, humility and resilience would be crucial as the tournament reaches its decisive stages.
“We have the humility to believe that we can win this Africa Cup of Nations. Cameroon are a team that need no introduction, and we know it will be another tough challenge,” he said.
The Moroccan coach has come under scrutiny from sections of the fanbase, with critics questioning aspects of his game management and squad selection during the competition. However, Regragui appeared unfazed by the criticism, choosing instead to focus on the ultimate goal of lifting the trophy on home soil.
