The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, and the Chairman of the APC National Campaign Council, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on behalf of the party’s leadership, formally received the newly elected chairmen of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) area councils.
The ruling party secured victory in five of the six councils, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) claimed one seat.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC), which serves as the platform for a coalition of opposition figures, did not win any council.
The APC emerged victorious in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), as well as Abaji, Kuje, Bwari, and Kwali area councils. In a post on its official X handle on Monday, the party said the newly elected chairmen were received by its leaders, including the Party’s National Working Committee, NWC.
