President Bola Tinubu on Monday assured Nigerians that insecurity would be defeated, expressing confidence in the country’s security leadership and the Armed Forces in the fight against banditry and terrorism.
The assurance was given in Yola during the inauguration of projects completed by the Adamawa State Government, the home state of National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu. In a show of confidence in Ribadu’s leadership, the President said he was proud of the NSA and expressed optimism that Nigeria would overcome terrorism and banditry under his watch.

“I must say clearly here that you are doing an excellent job, and we have seen the results. With you, we will defeat the bandits and terrorists,” Tinubu said.
Turning to the military, the President praised the Armed Forces of Nigeria for what he described as their commitment to restoring security across the country. “We are grateful to the Nigerian armed forces for their commitment to liberating Nigeria from banditry and insurgency.

Together, we will win,” he said. Reaffirming his administration’s support for security agencies, the President urged governors and citizens to cooperate in efforts to develop their states and strengthen national security.
“We continue to encourage our governors; we will call on citizens to continue to offer them maximum cooperation in developing their states and the country at large.
“As your leader, I am assuring you of my continuous service and sacrifice. Nigeria is ours to develop. I am a very happy man.”
Further highlighting Ribadu’s qualities, President Tinubu described him as “honest, bold, courageous, and committed to the job,” expressing belief that the people of Adamawa State were proud of the NSA’s performance. “With you, we will defeat the bandits and terrorists… the enemies of Nigeria will be flushed out,” he said.
